TMJ & Mouth Ulcers

TMJ pain is getting worst for me every time I have an episode. Yesterday I got a shot cause the pain was unbearable. Today I feel somewhat better but the pain is not gone yet. I am on three different pain relievers and muscle relaxers and still not feeling myself yet. The feeling of my mouth is very sensitive and makes it hard to eat. I donít have sores but the area feels numb and very sensitive. Good luck guys, cheer up and keep in mind this too shall pass.

I've had tmj now for 3 weeks and a mouthful of ulcers...it's so damn painful it's unreal...I've got to wait another 9 weeks before I see anyone at maxillofacial which makes me feel depressed about it...I have done everything I've been told to do to help my tmj, I'm on naproxen, morphine, sprays and mouthwash, wearing a splint, teeth taken out...none of this is working...I'm being told by one doctor at the hospital that I might have to have Botox or surgery, then a younger one it'll go on its own...then I've got the dentist telling me something should be done ASAP as the gap in my mouth is nearly closing I can't even fit a finger in my mouth...I feel like I'm being pulled from pillow to post
I need results and actions done
Anyone else having this trouble

I am suffering with TMJ. Wear a bite plate most of the time but the side of my tongue sticks to the plate and where it has stuck it feels and looks like an ulcer. All is OK first thing in the morning and then by about 1 hour later - HELLO here we go again. Sore as .... Out comes the bonjela but like most of you say, it is not very good. I use a special toothpaste with my Oral B electric toothbrush, salt mouth wash .. you name it, but nothing seems to work. Spoke with my Oral Specialist today and he feels it is all to do with the TMJ and we could be looking a open surgery on the joint. So ... I donít know!!! I do feel for every one suffering but look on the bright side there is always someone else out there worse off than us.
