No, she is only allergic to dairy and itís food with any trace of dairy in. She has to be really careful. Sometimes she canít resist a bit of chocolate knowing that the consequences will be an ulcer. She has had to cut out everything like milk from tea, most puddings, cheese etc. When she was going to the clinic and the doctor told her to reintroduce dairy, she had to start with a teaspoon of milk and even this tiny amount brought the ulcers back. Have a try at cutting out dairy, but you MUST cut out foods with ANY trace. Iíll find out how long she did for. Itís worth a try.

Hi, Iím 26 and have suffered with recurring mouth ulcers for the majority of my life. They have worsened over the years. Iíve been to see Drís at leading hospitals etc and have been told they arenít viral related. I am of the opinion that they are an allergic reaction to something Iím eating. I was thinking sugar but maybe it is dairy. I have them everyday of my life and would love to see the back of them. Did you friend find sugar affected them also or only dairy?

I have a friend who suffers from ulcers. After years of suffering she finally went to a private clinic for advice. They stopped her eating wheat, dairy and sugar and then gradually re introduced these foods one by one. Dairy turned out to be the trigger and sure enough the ulcers stay away until she eats anything dairy eg chocolate, milk, cream etc. Hope this helps someone.
