Mouth Ulcers & Inflamhmation markers

I have had extremely bad mouth ulcers for the last year, I have no family history of them, and have never had them before. I went to a new GP last week, as the ulcers were really bad, and I was in great pain with them down on throat, and had multiple large one in my cheek, that swelling could be seem on the outside of my cheek. The doctor gave me presnisone which has brought it down, and sent me away for blood test. My question is one of the test was C reactive protein CRP, which I know is a inflammation marker. this test has come back at 1> range was 5>, so according to this I have no inflammation at all in my body. this I can't understand when I have mouth bad enough to swell my face surely this is inflammation, yet the test is showing no inflammation, and medication that control inflammation, heals the ulcers. Can anyone advice the link between mouth ulcers & inflammation.
