Mouth sores are I think sometimes an early HIV symptom. On the other hand, it could jus be a little extra yeast in your mouth. SEE A DOCTOR, NOT A MESSAGE BOARD. PLEASE

Borax or more correctly, Boron, is also an essential need for our bodies and is usually absorbed through our drinking water! Interestingly, it was also in potatoes as they like borax as their nutrient, however, scientist produced potatoes that don't need Borax. In countries where there is little to no Boron in the water, there is highs arthritic and goat conditions, and where there is plenty, there is almost no arthritis! The old farmers used to wet their finger on their tongue, dip it into the Boron and suck their finger! Boron increases bone density and and calcium absorbsion which explains why the old farmers were tough as nails. Women suffering from oesteoperosis can furn it around with 9mg per day for six months! It is a mild acid which is used in eye wash, ant kill, termite killer and preventive, tanning of animal skins and washing powder... But is essential in our diets!

I remember drinking heaps of this I think when they used it for putting on babys dummies back in the 70s. I know later they took the borax out. I used to suffer mouth ulcers a lot. Don't now that im an adult. I believe I'm healthier than when I was a child.got a random ulcer out of the blue not long ago. I believe they may be stress related

Quote: Itís [borax is] still very poisonous I believe.
Borax is known to be highly poisonous to insects. Looking at the MSDS for table salt and for borax, respectively, with reference to the LD50 in mice (a reasonable model for human toxicity):
Oral, mouse: LD50 = 4 gm/kg
Oral, mouse: LD50 = 2 gm/kg
It's twice a poisonous as table salt, and some may regard this as 'very poisonous'. If so, both items should be kept out of the sight and reach of small children, in households that wish to exercise this degree of caution. However, it's close enough to table salt that there should be little risk for responsible use by adults.

I think you can still buy Borax, I think Iíve seen it in stores. But it seems to be used for detergent. Not thatíd I recommend you try it. Itís still very poisonous I believe.

Iíve suffered from the little devils since I was 3 (i.e. 1960ís). I used to be prescribed a clear liquid called íGlycerine of Boraxí that worked a treat, both pain relief and most importantly making them heal *much* faster. I understand that Borax is a poison and is now banned (has been since late 70ís I think). Anyone else have experience with this?
Recently Iíve had success with a combination of Folic acid (prevention), Difflam (pain) and mental attitude (healing - just accept them, donít get stressed about it and they go faster - easier said than done).
Great site BTW
