After only two weeks taking levothyroxine I experienced a horrific mouth ore on the roof of mouth . The excruciating pain to my entire face. The headache pounding too . I simply stopped taking it altogether . Now I feel great !

I have been taking Oroxine (for a slightly underactive thyroid) just a little over a week ago and have now developed mouth ulcers. It hurts to eat anything other than cold, soft foods (like yogurt).

I have been on thyroxin for a year now, and get mouth ulcers every month without fail. Fed up of them

I had my thyroid out August 2013 and taking Levothyroxin and ever since then I have been getting mouth blisters that last about 2 weeks. I also have joint pain so bad that I can hardly walk. My Endocrinologist insist that it is not from the levothyroxin but I think otherwise. I will be changing medication so lets see what happens.

I have been taking Levothyroxine since April 6, 2012, I have never had a mouth ulcer until now, I experienced the same as you face swelled, toothache my whole side of my face would hurt I was afraid it was abcessed but now my skin is starting to peel inside my mouth do you have that problem?

I was diagnosed with an under active thryorid a year ago and have since been taking Levothyroxine. I now continually suffer from mouth ulcers despite my doctor being sure that there is no connection. I never suffered before being diagnosed. My dentist can see no reason for them either. It sounds stupid but they really p*ss me off! They actually make the whole side of my face hurt and give me tooth ache. It's ridiculous. Has anyone else had a similar experience as it just seems a bit too much of a coincidence that the ulcers start as I begin taking medication. Thanks!
