Cut it off because iíve had enough

Damn, i thought i had it bad, after reading some of these messages, i can see people have been suffering from these things for years! Iíve got 2 ulcers on my inner bottom lip, i started with one ulcer and now a year later ive got 2, today i got so angry that i got a pair of scissors and cut one of them off, i know it was a stupid idea but i couldnt help it, i recommend not to ever do that coz it hurts like hell, i was bleeding for ages. I actually cut it off before a few times but before it didnt even used to bleed that much and didnt hurt either, but it was definately a bad idea and that may actually be the reason for another ulcer developing near it and also they seem to be getting bigger and now ive got 2 reoccuring ulcers and they both hurt alot. Thats why iíve visited this site today coz these ulcers are really pissin me off now. Iíve tried bonjela and that didnt do jack sh*t, only numb the pain and also it doesnt stick to the ulcer for long and now im using Adcortyl in oralbase which the doctor prescribed for me, so far, itís not working so somebody plz tell me WHAT THE F*CK SHALL I DO!!!

Oooooooouuuuch. Has it been the same ulcer for a year ? Definitely not normal if itís lasted that long, if so, I suggest you pressurise your doctor into taking more proactive action.

If it is the same ulcer then it aint normal for it to persist that long, usually 2-3 weeks is normal for each individual ulcer max. ask your doctor for a referral to an oral specialist. i dont mean to scare you but you need to rule out the possibility of them being cancerous (this is quite rare i hasten to add)- if they are then the worst thing you can do is cut them off...

holy shit, they may be cancerous? now iím shittin my pants, well its not actually the same ulcer, i goes and comes bak about a day later, but when it comes back, its exactly on the same spot as before, is that not normal for an ulcer?

I picked an mouth ulcere once when I was little and there was a little bleeding but no pain aferwards and the mouth ulcer did not come back! I guess I was lucky. But also, I didnt ĒcutĒ it off, I picked it with my fingers.

donít freak dude, as i said its quite rare for them to be cancerous but you should get them checked out by a specialist although if they come and go then yer prolly alright.. seriously though dont cut them off no matter how pissed off you are....

Everybody says cutting mouth ulcers off is really bad, well I had a ulcer on the outside of my bottom lip for about 5 weeks and I tried everything one day I woke up and got so annoyed I grabbed a knife and cut in off, it left and whole where the ulcer was, I was more like I digged it out but anyway It worked and it didn't grow back, new skin was created over the whole an that was the end of it. Maybe I was lucky but it worked for me.

Only people who have suffered from this horrible malady could possibly understand the agony that prompts a person to cut these painful sores out of their mouth.
My experience has been limited to the little inflamed taste buds that come up on my tongue. My dr explained to me that I could cut off my entire tongue and it would still be there. It is an inflamed nerve that runs from the brain to the tip of the tongue. no amount of cutting will help at all, but the pain that replaces the pain does satisfy somewhat.
Im not a religious person, but when I have reached a place where Im totally devastated I go to prayer. this is a common thing among people. I did this one day when I had suffered my limit with this tongue sore. I prayed for help from God.. I was in a luncheon at the time, hungry and at the end of my rope. I had to eat. The menu choices that I saw was either a cheese burger or a tuna melt. The tuna melt grabbed my attention and so I ordered it. On the first bite I felt some relief with the sore. by the time the sandwich was finished I knew I was on to something. I went home, opened a can of tuna and ate it from the can. The sore was gone in 24 hours or less. AND it was a very large, larger than ordinary sore.
Now when that electric zap occurs in my mouth, signaling the beginning of another episode, I eat either salmon or tuna..the cheaper kind works the best.. TRUST me on this. I want to tell the world. It cant hurt you.. try it.. PL EASE
My prayer was truly answered.

I just noticed a bit ago that my top lip got very swollen and I thought maybe I had bit my lip and it was bruising but it was also hurting so I go check and it's a damn ulcer. I'm so damn tempted to get a blade and just cut it out! I've had it for a couple of hours now and I just can't take it!
