| This isnt a cure but it helped me a bit when i had this problem, i just put some, well a lot of chapstick on the corners before i went to sleep, that way it wouldnt wear off from talking or eating and such. It helped me a little. best of luck on healing |

| I’ve got this one right now - split mouth and a very deep ulcer in the ’join’ - never had it there before. I tried a steroid but after 4 days no effect at all. |

| HI I think you need to go on a course of vitamin B Im sure thats what causes the cracks in the corner of the mouth..Keep the corners of your mouth as dry as possible too. Good luck .. |

| Have you tried iodine? I had split corners of my mouth and found liquid iodine helpfull. I think dosing up on B Vitamins helps too. |

| I had a really bad case in high school for a month or two, that went away fairly quickly after I started putting vitamin E oil and bandages on it. I'm starting to get one again so I'm hoping the remedy works again. |

| LOOK>>>Ive suffered on and off with cracks at the corners of my mouth for a couple of years. Theyre very sore and agony if you yawn and they split open. Ouch!!!!My dental hygenist told me they're often caused by a slight fungal infection and suggested trying a bit of canestan cream. BRILLIANT!!!!! put little bit on, two or three times, (best before bed) and it cleared up and i havent suffered with it once since. Well worth a try!!! |

| I've had this too and it can come from thrush in the mouth or staph bacteria and also my mother told me lack of vitamin B. Best cure is either Hydrocortisone 1% or the Canasten cream alright. |

| I have this. Here's the cure - EVERY TIME: apply a dab of "Miconazole 7" cream to corners of mouth several times a day. (This cream is for yeast infections...I get it at Walmart, and it's the Equate brand.) In 2 or 3 days it will be completely gone. It works...I promise!! |

| I've had this problem twice in 2 months now! This time I've used 'Bio Oil' in the corners of my mouth before bed and once or twice when I think of it during the day. Seriously, they have healed up in a matter of 3 days! |

| I have suffered with these annoying mouth splits on and off for years- it is so frustrating! I take b vitamins and have tried hydrocortisone creams. These work to a certain extent but it always comes back. I have just read about the fungal infection being the cause so will try clotrimazole- will keep you informed of the results! |

|
| So far so good- clotrimazole working very well! Yippee! |

| I get these every few weeks and have found just dabbing as often as I can with salty water is great. Start as soon as you notice it coming. A couple of days and they are gone. Better than all the other stuff we end up swallowing. |

| Splitting in the corners of the mouth is a sign of vitamin B12 deficiency. |

|
What is vitamin deficiency, is it B2. or B12 ?
I keep getting different messages. |

|
| Please do not put hydrocortisone on your lips! It thins the skin! |
