I love Debacterol and my Doc prescribed me some to take home for future breakouts. You guys need to check out www.killthecank.com that guy made note that you can reuse the applicator 1-2 times on his debacterol page

Does anyone know how to find a list of doctors/dentists who will write this prescription? My son suffers terribly from these sores and we are anxious to try it. Thanks!

The best medication ever for canker sores. It's unpleasant for about 2 minutes, and then the pain is gone and the sore will be healed completely in about two days. While it heals, though, you don't have to worry about what you eat, and you never have to worry about a second treatment. Works the first time every time. Wish it were not by prescription, and it isn't cheap: about $10 an application. Oh, and it also stinks, so you need to be careful where you store it and that you dispose of the used swab in an outside receptacle.

You're doctor should be able to prescribe it. My doctor did. The only difference is that the prescription comes in swabs and not in a liquid form in a bottle. None the less is is still the wonder ointment.

If you havenít had the chance to try this wonder product, you should! My son suffers very, very frequently with canker sores. Sometimes having 4 or 5 at a time in his mouth. His mouth swells and he is in a lot of pain. One thing I am so grateful we have found, is Debacterol. It looks like a Q-tip with brown medicine in the middle. It is applied for about 5 seconds to the ulcer (it stings like you wouldnít believe!) but after you rinse, the pain is gone. It is a wonder. The only inconvenience we have is that anytime my son needs a treatment, we have to call our dentist and hope that they can fit him in to apply it. AND it is by prescription only. You canít get it over the counter. My son is headed to the doctor tomorrow so I may ask if he can write a prescription for us to have some on hand at home. It is worth the money spent.
