The idea to try Apple Cider Vinegar with an ulcer on the end of my tongue, popped in my head when walking the dog yesterday. I had learnt about its alkalising affects a few weeks ago (for the body generally), so was only expecting, at best, that the ulcer would perhaps go in less than the usual week to ten days that they normally stay. Well, too early to know that, but in the meantime, the relief after taking it is brilliant. It stings for a moment or two, then the pain completely goes and my mouth feels fresher. All I can say is Apple Cider Vinegar - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. :-)

Be SURE to rinse well with water after each use of OACV..acid is damaging to teeth enamel. I had some relief using OACV..however was warned by my dentist about acid problem re:teeth enamel.

I'm still taking the OACV and what was the biggest ulcer is a little white mark and absolutely no pain.
Such a relief to be able to talk without slurping and enjoy my food. Still a little rinse out with salted water in the morning and before bed .
Had some coffee today. Will see how that goes.So far so good. Thanks so much

Yesterday I only had the first ( a 'biggie' ) of my ulcers remaining with hardly any pain. I've not had any coffee and reduced my Vit C intake ( I had gone well over the normal dosage). Will introduce the coffee back again to see how it goes. The last ulcer is improving nicely and no pain finally . Thank God.
I wish to thank the site and of course Organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

Hi. I'm not in the pain that I've had for over a week.
After I read your site I took a tablespoon of OACV ( Organic Apple Cider Vinegar ). Nothing happened there and then apart from a little stinging, but nothing to talk about given the pain I have been in.
Before I went to bed, after cleaning my teeth I rinsed my mouth out with a little salt dissolved in some warm water that I had boiled and allowed to cool.
Today I'm not completely cured but definitely on the mend. Thank you so much. Will let you know how it goes.

i cant believe this i soaked cottonwool wad in organic cider vinegar with mother and put it between my gum and top lip and although it stung and increased the pain at first, the pain slowly went. i left it there for half an hour and when i took it out my lip was bigger than ever, but the swelling started to go down and i repeated the procedure with the same effects.
this morning one ulcer has gone and the largest one has shrunk. the swelling has gone right down and is only swollen above the ulcer, and the pain is not as bad. i carried out a half hour soak and swelling has reduced enough for me to drink some coffee although its a bit painful. today i am going to do three soaks and see how that goes.

Ive tried the ACV method for a week and I find at first it makes the pain go away because it numbs it, however my current ulcer has only gotten worse because of the ACV. Be careful with this method. I've been using a Zinc lozenge for the pain and I found it helps it much better than ACV.

I get the worst mouth ulcers. So painful I can't even talk. They burn n bleed. I've tried everything and the magic mouthwash did nothing really. Right now I am dealing with the worst case I have ever experienced. I just tried the apple cider vinegar and am already feeling a slight relief.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!! ANY FORM, ANY FASHION, ITS A GUARANTEED PERMANENT CURE!!!
I had perpetual Mouth Ulcers for several years straight. NOTHING cured it, all this stuff listed above only treated the pain or prevented worsening. However, someone told me to drink a spoonful of Apple Cider Vinegar once a day. I tried it. Starting that SAME DAY, they were totally and completely CURED. I only get them if i fail to take my dose for a few days. I dont really care how/why it works, but it has something to do with balancing the PH or acid levels in your body. Chocolate, citrus, tomatoes, etc always seemed to be the culprits, but i eat ALL of these now, all day long, and just take my daily A.C.V... I'm not one of those health fanatics, but I am a TOTAL believer in Apple Cider Vinegar. 100% cured, without exception!
HINT: i cant drink the liquid A.C.V., so i found "Apple Cider Vinegar Diet" pills at Wal-mart's diet pills section.. each pill has 900mg of A.C.V. I take two/three upon discovery of a new ulcer (im not perfect with taking them daily), and its gone next day.. otherwise just one-a-day keeps me totally cured.
Anyhow, this may help with Stomach Ulcers as well, I havent seen anybody recommend this cure anywhere.

After using cider vinegar, I had a horrendously painful day so I’ll ditch this idea. The trial has ended.

Hi Rich I seem to get Mouth Ulcers from Cider Vinegar anything Acidic in fact.
Jason 22 October 07
Probably an ’old wives tale’, but according to my manager, cider vinger KILLS these things.
So I diluted some in water last night and gave it a try. It did hurt slighty, but seemed to ease the pain.
Unsure if there has been any effect, but knowing my luck, this isn’t going to work either.
