Parasites as cause of mouth ulcers...7 messages in this subject.
I purchased the NOW brand Fresh Green Black walnut Wormwood complex and took just half the dose in water and the far back of my tongue bubbled up and got severely sore. Felt burned. Must be allergic to something in the mix.

May I please ask how healing crisis and your journey to health is going for you all? Been battling pinworms and not sure if perhaps another parasite. I also suffer from facial herpes which I noticed I have been getting more frequent outbreaks as well as spreading to other areas of face, which leads me to believe my two recent treatments of vermox may not have been a success unless it's just healing crisis. I have a few vitamins as well as taking black walnut, oil of oregano, and wormwood in hopes I end their relations with my poor body! Will need to start an immediate diet change for the herpes too. What a drag. Good luck to you all!

Thanks for the massive post Dave, very informative. I hope you manage to keep the OLP under control.

Plaque and tartar easily build up with OLP when you find it extremely difficulty to brush your teeth, as skin on gums with OLP can be as weak as wet tissue paper, and completely raw in places. Since having OLP for over 4 years now, my tongue turned completely white, swollen to twice it's normal size, grew 5mm long bright red mutated papillae on the upper rear tongue, which I simply cut off with a pair of scissors, and they have not returned, but have simply been replaced with normal papillae now, I lost all my taste buds eventually for some time (which have now grown back, but a LONG time since the whiteness and swelling went, with some scarring on the tongue). And I have lost 5-6 mm gum tissue around all premolars and molars where I had mercury fillings removed, but not around other teeth, so if you have mercury fillings, do it no more than one or two at a time, just in one year, don't bother about the lure of financial discounts if you have them all done at once, you may be glad you follow that advice, see if mercury is a trigger for this condition first, and if OLP does not commence within 6 months of having a filling removed, then do just one or two more next year, and so on. Have mercury based metal fillings removed in the summertime, as sunbathing speeds up removal of ALL toxins from the blood by 20 to 50 times faster, and use cilantro and other herbal stuff like cracked wall chlorella, to bind and chelate and flush mercury.
The ONLY toothbrush that is gentle enough I have found with OLP a single tuft brush with 6 mm bristles (tried to mention brand here but comment was instantly blocked I think as spam), as long headed 'soft' brushes will simply take your skin clean off and leave your gums bloody raw, the bristles on the brand I use, available in multiple colours, and cheap when you shop around, at just over 3 quid, though some charge vastly more, are extremely fine and more gentle than 'soft' bristles on normal or even other brand single tuft brushes that I have tried, and when your gums are so sensitive, there is no way you can effectively brush with a long headed brush, which is no good anyway for gum work. With the single tuft toothbrush, you can carefully clean very thoroughly around the gumline of all your teeth without injury, but they only last one month or less till the bristles splay out and start to dig in your gums, so use an ordinary big headed brush first to clean the upper surface of your teeth, and above the gum line on the backs and fronts, but you can avoid all growth of tartar using that strategy, but I also use electronic descaling every 3 months, and that has helped massively to stop gums swelling and exfoliating tissue, as once tartar gets under your gums and forms pockets, you get real problems, and then you start to lose teeth (I still have all mine). Electronic descaling very regularly, will help to remove pockets. I had pockets 4 mm deep in places, but now have none at all by using these brushes and simple olive oil soap, which is simple oil combined with sodium hydroxide to make a bar of green soap, with no other chemicals in at all, it really cleans very thoroughly, without burning sensations, and really really tightens the gums up like nothing else I have found, I wipe the brush head on a wet bar from side to side so as not to splay the bristles, and with that as toothpaste alone (I have a drawer full of commercial toothpastes that have been no use at all, along with hundreds of pounds worth of fancy electric toothbrushes, that did not work at all, as they ALL left masses of plaque around the gumline, and were extremely violent in some cases in their effects on delicate gums, the gumline being the most important place of all, despite all their crummy advertisements, and would have been useless even on normal gums and teeth). I am not using any steroids, but read that dox.c.cline tablets (missing letter y to void spam censor) used as a mouthwash can cause bone and gum tissue to grow back, but it is very toxic to the liver, so never swallow it, do not let it go down your throat (do not gargle especially with it, or you can burn your lungs and oesophagus, it is quite nasty stuff. but used once every couple of days it can be of some benefit to kill off any nasty bugs under the gumline, with a 2-5 minute swilling, but don't think more time than this is better, as it is caustic, and will actually start to damage your gums if used longer. I use 100 mg dispersible tablets, which I drop into 5mm deep water in the bottom of a glass. You may even achieve the desired effect in much less than 5 minutes. I mentioned that time, as that is what I sometimes hold it in for, wishing it to penetrate sufficiently to stimulate regrowth of gum and bone tissue, but that effect may be simply the result of killing off pathogenic organisms that cause tissue to die in the gums,, and that may in fact be achieved much more quickly than in 5 minutes, so just use it carefully, seeing how it affects you personally), though I used to hold it in for 10-15 minutes till I read how caustic it is, and you start to notice with any antiseptic stuff, like some mouthwashes, that skin tissue actually starts to peel off the gums because of them, like chlo.hexidine (missing r) washes such as co.sodyl (missing r) cause, I was on that for ages, and my gums were actually being eaten away with it, and my teeth turned completely black.
The green olive oil sap now is perfect for me, and my mouth has no infection either as my gums are nice and tight. Sadly, it is not lack of oral hygiene that is the main cause of gum pockets with OLP, as the gum ligaments that are attached to the teeth actually shrink and detach with OLP, allowing pockets to form, when then get infected. A few good electronic descalings are necessary to clean the gum line of the teeth and pocket areas sufficiently well to allow gum tissue to take root there again, but it does grow back. Once you get on top of it, your gums themselves will be vastly healthier and vastly less inflamed, and a electronic descaling every 3 months or so will keep things steady. Each electronic ultrasound cleaning session always misses a few bits here and there, so what you miss one time around you get the next time around.

Hi , yes, your story sounds exactly like mine : I've been sick for the last 16 Years and have gotten worse with time. It has taken 16 Years to discover the problem - parasites :( I've had mouth ulcers most of my life plus numerous other symptoms. Some people seem to think (and suggest ) it's ok to take antibiotics to kill the parasites but how do you explain to someone that you've had them for over half your life, probably since birth, probably pre birth! I've had viral infections one after another and GPs have always prescribed antibiotics (wrecked my gut by taking these ..) now I'm trying to fix my gut (taking some advice from the GAPS diet and also seeing an 'alternative health ' practitioner who , after only one live blood test, told me I have parasites - they have made nests and colonies in my colon which suggests they have been here for a very long time.. So yes, wormwood it is for me ,plus supplements since the little suckers have left me anaemic, almost bald (lost most of my hair ), and completely depleted of energy to the point of not wanting to live life anymore. I have also had a flare up of all my nasty symptoms especially alopecia of scalp + dermatitis. Mouth ulcers, particularly inner lip ulcers are bothering me (so much so that I can't sleep and that's why I'm here now at 3 am writing this message!) Digestion is poor and regurgitation has become the norm after eating! Reducing food intake has helped however, as has blood cupping (a zillion toxins are removed through wet cupping. I highly recommend it. Increased intake of raw organic Apple cider vinegar diluted in a small amount of water half hour before meals also helps. Hope you are feeling better now. All the best.

I have been taught that mouth ulcers are a result of low levels of Vit B6. This supplement can be found in most grocery/drug store

Just found like site and literally feeling the pain of all sufferers. Iím 44 and had them for as long as I can remember. Iíve had some luck with eating for my blood type but I recently when to a homeopath (in Sydney) whoís is convinced that most ulcerations in the mucosal lining be they mouth, throat, stomach, intestine or rectum are the result of parasites in the gut. She claims to have cured countless patients of mouth ulcers by putting them on a rigorous regime of Wormwood and Black Walnut (to kill the little buggers) while taking a bunch of supplements that strengthen the immune system. Itís kind of an herbal chemo treatment and very hard on the system. I did two rounds of the program for the last 4 months and only seen my ulcers come more frequently (but with less severity). The homeopath says this is a common healing crisis that occurs when the parasites die off with a temporarily increase in toxins in the body. Iíve completed the treatment and still getting ulcers but they seem to be getting weaker and weaker as time goes on. Has anyone else had experience with this kind of treatment or am I just reaching for another whacky cure?
