Anyone tried Ulcerease mouth wash or ORA5 liquid ?

I have suffered chronic mouth ulcers for 6 years now without a days break, today is particularly bad where I am finding it hard to speak, hence I have looked at your web site for the first time. It is comforting to know I am not alone in my misery, but sad that so many of us live our daily lives with this never ending nightmare. I went to the doctors to no avail and spent two years going to the dental hospital to no avail. In the end you put up and shut up, my partner knows when I am really suffering as I go quiet, dont talk much, dont kiss him and cry when I eat. But like so many others we soldier on because there appears to be no cure. One friend the other night said that she had suffered a sudden outburst of ulcers too and could only then fully understand why I cancelled a night out some time ago due to them, she had thought wrongly that I was a wimp, when infact it was too painful to talk and it is just too hard to be cheerful when you feel so low.

Anyway I am looking at different sites and have come across an american site selling a pack of Squigle enamel saver toothpaste, ulcerease mouth wash and ORA5 liquid band aid ofr $29, has anyone tried this and if so does it work?

do you have to put the band aid on with a wand or something b/c I canít bare to have the damn son of a bitches touched.

Well looking at the site you apply it on the end of a cotton bud. Iím hoping someone has tried it before I buy it, especially as its an american site too. The ulcerease mouth wash is apparantly used to treat the ulcers of cancer patients who get them using chemotherapy. The ORA5 says that it covers the nerve endings with a film hence allowing the pain to subside and heal much quicker.

ORA5 is the only stuff that helps my chronic canker sores. It is great stuff. Definitely try it. I just ordered the 10 oack of 1/8-oz bottles I go through them so quickly! It definitely speeds healing.

I have the same problem with canker sores. I get them constantly and Ora5 is the only thing that helps. It is best used when you start to feel one forming. It usually prevents it from forming and it just goes away without any real pain. If you apply it to a sore that has already formed, particularly a large one, it will be very painful. The pain usually fades in 5-10 minutes, and the healing process begins. The large sores tend to go away in about 3 days after you start applying Ora5.

I use both Squiggle & Ulcer Ease, and find them both effective.

I have used Ora5 for years and it is a miracle. As soon as you feel a sore beginning just dip a cotton swab and leave it on your sore for about 5 minutes. If your sore is very big this will hurt and burn like crazy, but after the burning there is no more pain for several hours. Just repeat the process again. If I use this at the beginning of the sore it is usually gone by the next day, if not then it takes a couple of days to get rid of it, but I swear it works.
I can't seem to find it anywhere the websites are always out of stock. My dentist hasn't even heard of it. If you know where you can get it I would appreciate if you would share your info with me. Thanks

Not sure if it's discontiued. I can't find it anywhere either an I'm highly upset. That stuff works very well - and QUICK!

I was told by my supplier that ORA5 is no longer being produced. Very disappointed. We sufferers should form a group and buy the rights/patents to ORA5 and start having it made again.

I believe ORA5 may be going to be produced again by a different manufacturer, so it should reappear at some time.

Can't find ORA5 either. I've been using it since 2001 and it's the only thing that works. Please post here if you have found it

It IS the only thing that works! This is an absolute travesty. I have to believe someone else will make it, but if not, I plan to go to a compounding pharmacy. It's just a few minerals and should be easy to make.

I have been suffering with canker sores my whole life. I found Ora5 a few years ago and have sworn by it ever since. It tastes horrible and burns really bad for about 5 minutes but it is waaaaaaaaaaay worth it. I see the burn as healing time. I have tried every canker sore medicine on the market for over 40 years. Nothing compares. I just recently went to a not so talented dentist...(Thanks you HMO) who drilled my tongue more than my tooth. It left me with a gouge in my tongue and a few additional smaller divots and small cuts in my cheek which all turned into canker sores within a day. I could not speak without pain. I applied Ora5 for a couple of nights in a row and the results were great. If ANYONE suffers from canker sores this stuff works wonders. It would be a shame if it's not being sold anymore.

Any news on where to purchase? I'm coming up with nothing and my bottle is empty.

It is definately the BEST! I heard that ORA5 will be manufactured again shortly under new management. Sit tight

If anyone finds a company that sells a product like ORA5, please post it. It's the only stuff that works and I'm out. Thanks.

Has anyone found out if ora5 is in production and where to get it ?
brad ohlemeier 3 December 12

My dentist recommended Ora5 for feaver blisters. I've never found anything that works as well. Not only does it speed healing (if it doesn't stop it from fully forming), but it stops the pain. Please, please, please bring Ora5 back!
Shelley 18 December 13
have they started making it again?????

The equivalent formulation for ORA5 is available at Park Compounding as Ulcerase 5 9257 Research Drive, Irvine, CA 949-551-7195.

Larry Woodhose - I tried to call the pharmacy listed above, and they could not find the product Ulcerase 5. Can you guide me to the reason why? thanks.

I have used Ora 5 and being in the dental field can testify to it being one of the best products. If you are looking for something very similar try Debactoral. It is a one time use liquid topical.

Debacterolģ is a liquid topical agent that is used in the treatment of ulcerating oral mucosal lesions. DEBACTEROLģ is a liquid, topical, debriding agent used for treating ulcerating oral mucosal lesions, commonly referred to as canker sores, aphthous ulcers, or oral ulcers, as well as minor oral abrasions. DEBACTEROLģ has unique chemical and physical properties that are particularly beneficial whenever a dental or medical procedure in the mouth requires controlled, limited debridement of necrotic or damaged tissues.

I have been making my own ORA5 in the office with Povidine Iodine and Copper sulfate powder that we mix. My patients love it
Dr. Doueck, Brooklyn NY 21 October 16
Good work Dr. Doueck, if we do that in the UK the men in suits from the MHRA come to shut us down.
Dom Walton 23 October 16
Dr. Doueck, is that all that you use to make it? I really want to use Ora5 again as it helped so much and iím out of options.
